Help with Dhaba Dash
Need a hand, found a bug, or have an idea? Email rajib@dheet.studio — a real person reads every message. Telling us your device and iOS version helps enormously.
How do I play?
Orders arrive on the rail down the side of the screen, and Ammi calls each one out. Every ticket shows the ingredients and which pan, pot or tawa each one goes into. Pick up a plate, build the dish on it in any order, and carry it to the serving hatch before the customer's timer runs out. Only three orders are live at once; any extras wait their turn behind them. Move with the joystick, and press USE to pick things up, put them down, and work a station. You can also tap anywhere in the kitchen to walk there.
Stuck on a recipe? Pause the game and tap RECIPES — it shows every dish on the menu with its steps in order. Dishes like karahi with naan need each part cooked separately and then put together on the plate.
The controls don't suit me
Settings, from the title screen, has a fair bit to adjust:
- Joystick — fixed in the corner, or floating wherever your thumb lands.
- Joystick size and how far in from the corner the controls sit.
- Left or right handed — the USE button always takes the other side.
- Larger text for the scoreboard and order tickets.
- Reduced flashing — replaces the full-screen flash with a gentler border pulse.
- Haptics, sound effects and music, each with their own volume.
- Ammi calls the orders — turns off Ammi on the orders rail and her voice.
How do I unlock the next kitchen?
Earn 2 stars in a kitchen to open the next one. If you are stuck, go back and replay the shift — your best result is always kept. The solo and co-op kitchens each have their own run of ten.
My scores aren't showing on the leaderboard
Leaderboards use Apple Game Center. Check that you are signed in — open the iOS Settings app, tap Game Center, and sign in with your Apple Account. Then reopen Dhaba Dash and finish a round; scores can take a few seconds to appear.
Game Center is entirely optional. If you would rather not use it, the game plays exactly the same — your scores are simply kept on your device.
How do I reset my progress?
Settings, from the title screen, has Erase progress (clears every score and star) and Reset settings (puts the options back to their defaults). Both take effect immediately. Deleting the app also removes everything it has saved.
How do we play together?
Co-op is online, for two iPhones, and both need the latest version of Dhaba Dash. One of you picks Host and gets a four-letter code; the other picks Join and types it in. Each of you controls your own chef. No accounts or friend lists are needed, just an internet connection on both phones.
If your partner's chef looks jumpy, check both phones are on a good Wi-Fi or mobile signal, and that you are both on the same version from the App Store.
Can I play on iPad?
Dhaba Dash is made for iPhone, held sideways. It isn't built for iPad at the moment.
Something's broken
Please do tell us. Email rajib@dheet.studio with:
- what you were doing when it happened;
- which kitchen and which character you were playing, and whether it was solo or co-op;
- your device (for example "iPhone 15") and iOS version;
- a screenshot if you have one — they help more than anything else.
Privacy
Dhaba Dash has no accounts, no adverts and no in-app purchases, and never asks for your name or email. It sends anonymous gameplay stats to help us improve the game — you can switch this off with Share data in Settings. The full details are in the privacy policy.
